Combining years of personal and professional experience in domestic and international adoption, we don’t just understand the myriad challenges facing our clients and their adopted children; we have lived through and overcome the same challenges ourselves.
Founder and principal attorney Kelly Dempsey is recognized both domestically and internationally for her commitment to defending the interests of children in the U.S. and around the world. She is a fellow in the Academy of Adoption and Assisted Reproduction Attorneys (AAAA). Kelly is also the proud mother of four children, one adopted domestically and one adopted internationally. She knows how difficult the process can be and has used her experience to promote positive change to U.S. and international adoption laws.
Her work was featured in the 2013 documentary “Stuck,” which follows the lives of four children from three countries as they complete their individual journeys from orphanages in their native countries to new homes and families in the United States. She has also testified before Congress regarding international adoption issues and submitted reports to the Congressional Record.
In addition to attorney Dempsey, we are also proud to have Nicole Skellenger on our team who is dedicated to helping to improve the lives of families nationwide. With her experience serving as a consultant and adoption lawyer, there is nothing she will not do to protect children and secure the rights of her clients.
